Leveling Up


We just launched the second Play-Test Demo for Eye of Zegu! In this build, we updated the level map and made Zegu more intimidating. The changes to the level include; bigger map, and doors that go up if Zegu sees the player approaching him. The point of this change was to make it feel like Zegu is the master of his domain influencing the level to make it more challenging and interesting. The other change we made was a UX effect for when the player gets caught. As a stealth horror game, we want Eye of Zegu to be scary as well as fun. So, we made a scary experience for the player when they get caught. If Zegu sees you, the screen turns red, vision is distorted, and a screaming sound plays. We think these changes will make the game fell more like a horror game, and give the player something thing to do other than just run towards the center of the map.
